La bande dessinée s'ouvre avec Jerry courant avec une ligne de pêche attachée à la queue, qui continue à reculer, tandis que Jerry est tiré sous un radiateur vers Tom, vêtu comme un pêcheur, à l'autre extrémité de la ligne. Quand Jerry atteint Tom, le chat fait une grimace et fait peur Jerry, ce qui le fait s’enfuir à nouveau. Tom recommence à faire tournoyer Jerry, mais la souris secouée se cramponne dans un réflexe à un sac de boeuf, forçant Tom à lutter pour reprendre le contrôle de la ligne. La ligne revient à Tom avec le reste du sac indiquant simplement «pauvre idiot».

En pourchassant Jerry, Tom se retrouve mort écrasé par un piano et se retrouve au paradis. Mais le guichetier de l'Express Paradis lui annonce qu'avec un certificat de chasser une pauvre petite souris innocente (c'est-à-dire Jerry), il ne peut pas y aller. Il doit alors faire signer à Jerry un certificat d'amitié sous prétexte qu'il finira en enfer...Mais tout ça n'est qu'un rêve de Tom.

Donald décide de faire des gaufres en suivant la recette donnée par une émission de radio mais il se trompe dans un des ingrédients...

Comme le titre l'indique, Tom et Jerry sont dans un bowling. Tous les deux passent beaucoup de temps à glisser sur les pistes bien cirés. Finalement, Jerry s'installe entre les broches et Tom tente de le renverser.
