Ted souhaite se consacrer à l’écriture de sa thèse tandis que May travaille pour une journal local. Lors de ses promenades sur l’île, Ted remarque le nombre sans cesse croissant d’oiseaux. Il prend conscience du danger qui plane en subissant l’attaque d’un goéland sur la plage. Bientôt, le ciel est obscurci par les oiseaux de plus en plus menaçants…

Richau accepte, mais avec des desseins secrets à l’égard de Pierre auquel il voue une rancune tenace…

Un bébé tigre échappé d'un cirque de passage s'introduit dans la maison de Mimiko en son absence et s'installe chez eux. Mais les propriétaires du cirque sont à sa recherche, et sa mère y est par ailleurs toujours enfermée. On retrouve en outre une parodie du conte des Trois Ours lorsque les pandas et Mimiko rentrent chez eux, et que le plus petit découvre qu'on a mangé dans son assiette et dormi dans son lit.
