Shuuji est le lycéen populaire de base. Tout le monde l'aime, il est sympa, gentil et toujours là quand on a besoin de lui. Ca, c'est son apparence extérieure. En fait, il est assez hypocrite, égoïste, et se sent supérieur aux autres. Akira, un élève de la classe de Shuuji, est quant à lui une personne qui n'a pas vraiment d'ami. Il est un peu à l'ouest, un peu simplet et donne l'impression d'être tout le temps bourré. A côté de ça, il est gentil et attachant. Il pense être l'ami de Shuuji, mais ce n'est pas réciproque. Un jour, une nouvelle élève, Nobuko, arrive dans la classe. Elle est complètement renfermée, et très timide. Elle devient très rapidement le souffre-douleur de la classe. Shuuji et Akira ayant un peu pitié d'elle décident de la "produire" et d'en faire la fille la plus populaire du lycée.

The Ghosts of Motley Hall is a British children's television series written by Richard Carpenter which was produced and directed by Quentin Lawrence for Granada Television, and broadcast between 1976 and 1978 on the ITV network. The series relates the adventures of 5 ghosts who haunt Motley Hall. Each ghost is from a different era and all with the exception of Matt are unable to leave the confines of the building and Matt himself is unable to travel outside the grounds of the Hall. The only regular character who is not a ghost is Mr Gudgin the caretaker of Motley Hall. Carpenter wrote a companion novel for the series for Puffin Books in 1977. A 3 DVD set containing the complete series was released by Network in 2005.

No Place Like Home is a BBC situation comedy written by Jon Watkins and stars William Gaunt and Patricia Garwood as Arthur and Beryl Crabtree, a middle-aged couple who plan for a quiet life once their children have left home. Sadly, it is not to be. No Place Like Home was broadcast for five series between 1983 and 1987, with an early appearance by Martin Clunes.

Martin Jarvis, who voices the radio and audio CD adaptions of Just William, acts as the narrator. Various sources suggest that the series will not be returning.
