Twisted Tales is an Australian television Anthology and Mystery drama which screened on the Nine Network in 1996. Each episode was narrated by Bryan Brown, who also produced the follow-up series, Two Twisted, in 2006. Each episode of the series contains a twist ending.

The VARA TV series is made up of three parts in which the 'Circle of Life' of the Netherlands' most talked-about nature reserve, the Oostvaardersplassen, is central. Close to Amsterdam, in one of the world's most densely populated countries, on a piece of land that was under water forty years ago, a nature reserve of international allure has developed. A unique experiment is taking place here: nature is allowed to run its course. The result of this is an untouched piece of wilderness in the reclaimed Flevopolder. It differs from all other Dutch landscapes. Internationally, this piece of nature below sea level is rare. Le Château des Oliviers est la demeure ancestrale des Laborie de Sauveterre. Situé à Châteauneuf-du-Pape (Vaucluse), il recèle bien des mystères et des légendes. Comme chaque été, Estelle Laborie (Brigitte Fossey) va se réfugier là-bas. Mais cet été, elle prend une grave décision : fuir Paris et s'installer définitivement aux Oliviers. Elle est loin d'imaginer que son arrivée va réveiller bien des drames et des secrets, à commencer par cet énigmatique entrepreneur Pierre Séverin (Jacques Perrin) qui veut raser le château pour en faire un parc d'attractions, « Cigaleland ». Elle apprendra hélas que ce Pierre Séverin n'est autre que Marceau, le fils de M. Dupastre, l'ancien régisseur du Château. Ce régisseur est d'ailleurs mort dans des circonstances terribles. Cependant, Estelle fait face à cette vengeance et décide de sauver les Oliviers avec l'aide, notamment, de l'archéologue Raphaël Fauconnier (Georges Corraface)...

Former classmates gather in the district center of Warmaly for the twentieth anniversary of graduation. The glorious anniversary is overshadowed by a car caught from the pond, which has been lying at the bottom since the memorable graduation. Inside the car there is a corpse and an unusual stone that turns out to be a meteorite. The investigation draws everyone gathered to celebrate into a funnel: it exacerbates old conflicts, confuses the already difficult relationships of former classmates, their teachers and parents. Everyone learns something shocking about themselves and others: who they were in the 90s, who they became and what they are capable of in the present.
